Shannon
Since being acquired by DCC plc in 2003, a substantial capital investment programme in our Shannon facility has been undertaken.
As a result, we now operate the most advanced Physico-Chemical & Biological Hazardous Waste Treatment & Recovery Plant in Ireland. |

All waste is stored in secure segregated bunded storage areas, and tracked using a custom built waste tracking system, which ensures full visibility and traceability of accepted wastes.
The plant boasts a state-of-the-art bulking facility, which allows easy export of a variety of liquid wastes, which cannot be treated using our on-site processes. Bulk Solvents are stored in fully bunded nitrogen blanketed tanks with an automated deluge system.

| Chemical compatibility tests are carried out in the laboratory prior to any bulking operation. Typically the criteria used for bulking are calorific value, chemical type and water content. Maximising the calorific value of the bulked solvent provides a more cost-effective solution for our customers. |
